Imagined

This body of work represents a desire to connect with and explore that which is unseen. These paintings begin by releasing paint (typically acrylic) onto a surface in order to create presence and mood. Over time, with mindful observation and imagination, the arrangement of color and movement intuitively inspires imagery. Finally, paint is applied in thin layers, with varying translucencies, to develop the painting into its perceived potential. Spirituality, womanhood, and connection are reoccurring themes explored through this variety of vibrant, abstract compositions.
