I’ve been a teacher for nearly two decades, guiding others to connect with their creative voice and the deeper truths that live beneath the surface. I believe that art is more than a product. It is a process of remembering who we are, and sometimes, of becoming something entirely new.
My paintings are teachers too. Each one carries a message, a presence, and perhaps an invitation. Through my courses and creative offerings, I hope to extend that invitation to you. To slow down, listen, and create from that quiet inner space where color, energy, and story begin to take shape.
My Teaching Approach
I teach the way I paint: through intuition, presence, and trust in the process. Whether in a group setting or one-on-one, I aim to create spaces that are open, grounding, and gently transformative. My focus is not on technical perfection, but on helping others find their rhythm and reconnect with the joy of authentic expression.

Gratitude Painting Workshop: Art From the Heart
This one-day acrylic painting workshop invites you to slow down, connect with gratitude, and rediscover the joy of creating from the heart. Guided by artist and educator Darcy Lee Saxton, you will explore how color, texture, and composition can express thankfulness, emotion, and presence.
The morning begins with gentle reflection and guided exercises to awaken your creativity and release expectation. You will learn acrylic color mixing and layering techniques, exploring how color and emotion intertwine. In the afternoon, we will build upon your piece using core art principles including balance, contrast, and rhythm to bring harmony and meaning to your composition.
Through a combination of mindful prompts, structured instruction, and intuitive exploration, you will create a painting that embodies gratitude and celebrates your unique creative voice. This class welcomes all experience levels and provides a supportive, inspiring environment for creative renewal.
