This portrait was created after meeting a delightful artist in Porto, Portugal. He was creating flowers and other art out of pencil shavings, and they were beautiful. While the language barrier kept us from verbal communication, he had a sparkle in his eye and a humble smile on his face that magnified the joy he felt in creating all that he did. I knew he would become a painting as soon as a I met him. I am reminded of the magic of creating and sharing it with the world each time I look at this painting, (and the fabulous pencil shaving flower piece that I purchased).

This 16x20 inch canvas is sealed with a high gloss archival varnish, and framed in natural pine.  The back is titled, signed, and dated.  Ready to hang and love, from my hands to yours.
