"Resolute" at face value, is a cactus amidst a stormy desert.  More truthfully, it is a painting about facing oneself, or in other words, facing the desert.  It's about choosing to adapt and thrive rather than survive.  It's about weathering storms and drought, navigating vast open internal space, and being determined to stand tall throughout.  It's a testament to our coexisting strength and weakness as life sustaining creations. 

This piece has a protective coating of gloss varnish. The painting continues around the sides of the 1.5" deep canvas.
